| Alright, Today is like my 4th entry since the summer, that is sorryness, so forgive this slacker. I am at the PowerPlant Coordinators Retreat. Had a chance to hand with out with Bob-O a little bit and a few others that i have met in the past. It brings back the summer memory. It was a blast summer and i can't wait until this summer, I know God is going to do something great in my life and the lives of the students that attend powerplant. I hope my buddy Nate returns to PowerPlant this summer, but i know that God is using him now at a college plant, but he did an awesome job last year, Nate Dog if you are reading this i keep up with you blog and i pray for you often, love you man, we need to catch up sometime soon. Coordinator's retreat is going well, a lot of repeat stuff from last year, but i wouldn't say it is boring, it is cool meeting new people and sharing last year's experiences and suggestions. We can all learn from each other. Reno was a different project because it was small only with a few curches coming in and most of them added really late, so hopefully this year i can do a lot of prep with groups earlier.
Ministry at the church is going good, my life in one word: "BUSY" but i know most of you can say the same. I like it that way most of the time. God is so good and I thank Him for allowing me to serve Him in my currecnt ministry position. Please pray for me as this next year i will need to seek out and hire a summer youth intern to help me out, as i take on more rolls within the Education realm of the church. The church is growing, we continue to see new people join and give their lives to Jesus and follow through with Baptism. Well i am pretty tired, hopefully it won't be a long time until my next entry. I love all you guys, if i can ever help any of you or you need anything, please drop me an email or call m_mason2@yahoo,com or 904-563-5194 (cell)
talk to you soon

| ok, what can i say i am a total slacker when it comes to journaling. Life is so busy, but it seems like it always has been. Well, what's going on in my life. My wife and kids are doing great. My son Micah started preschool 3 a couple of weeks ago and he loves it, it gives Missy, my wife, a little break a couple days a week.
Oh, last week I went to an automobile auction, i was looking for a older model small truck, just so i could have a truck and also to drive to work and just around town, cause we only had one vehicle, Those auctions are crazy, they had 5 auction lanes side by side and i couldn't even think, it was all happening so fast and after an hour at the auction i had bought a 1994 Cadallic Deville, that's right i went for a small old truck and left with a Caddy, so it is a pretty smooth ride, but those babies are huge, it is atleast 2 or 3 feet longer than my mini-van, but hey i am riding in style. I'm not sure if I am going to keep it, I got a really awesome deal on it and if someone offers me the right price well good by Caddy but for now i am just riding in style.
Ministry is going well, there never seems to be enough time in the work day to get everything finished. Youth ministry is a hard thing especially went you can't devote all of your time to it, The education minstry is going well, I really enjoy the Sunday SChool and Discipleship ministries that I am over, Outreach is going well, we continue to reach people for Christ in our community and people are joining the church each week. We have been helping a few families that lost everything because of Huricane Katrina. They are now living in Jax and planning on starting over here, so i have been coordinating clothes, food, beds etc for those couple of families.
I am looking forward to next summer, one because i am going to have a summer youth intern, if God will send the right person and also I will be PCing PowerPlant again, this year I will be in Orlando. I was determined last year that i couldn't do another because of time restratints but God wouldn't let me say no, besides it is tooooo much fun. Well that is all for now, hopefully it won't be another 2-3 months before i wright again, i would love to here from any of you . My email is m_mason2@yahoo.com
| ok, i should have had a couple updates by now, but what can i say i am a really busy guy, anyway. I am getting ready to go on our Senior/College Trip. We will be heading to Orlando tomorrow around 1 p.m. We will hit the Dixie Stampede show Friday night and then Saturday we are going to Universal's Islands of Advenutre, I've never been to either one so i am excited about both.
Some more info about Power Plant Reno, I had one of the best times while there. It was probably the best mission trip or youth camp i have ever been on. I really enjoyed being the project coordinator and it looks like I will be the PC for the Orlando project next year, Hey I have dibs on the West team this year if they return next year, anyways, we saw around 40 people accept Christ as their Lord and Savior (WOW!!!!) I expected God to do great things, but I also went know that Nevada is a hard place and people aren't as open to the gospel there, were we surprised, the people responded, God called us to go there because He knew what the response was going to be. Among the students that attend Power Plant, 15 of them commited their lives to full time Christian Service and another 12 or so committed to do summer or semester missions before going off to college, that is really awesome news, because the harvest is plentiful but the workers are so few. There were many different decisions that took place during that week and God really moved in my life and in the lives of everyone that particpated. Satan and his demons were at work and many doors were closed, but that didn't stop us, God did Great things. A special word about Marcus and Caleb, these guys were awesome. They were a huge blessing to me this week. They helped in a lot of ways before the other students arrived. They teamed up with Main Place Church and worked really well together, they were doing some foundational work for a new church in the Lockwood area where there is currently no church, please pray for Desert Springs Baptist Church, Jesse and Pastor J as they continue the church planting efforts out there and that those 5 or 6 kids/students that accepted Christ would be discipled. Stace Cupples was our ministry coordinator and he had his plate full, pray for Stace as he continues to do the full time missions work in Reno and surroungding areas, well got to go for now, I will try not to take so long to make another entry.
| I am starting to recover from the Reno trip. It was truly amazing. God is so awesome and He reminds me of this simple truth just about everyday. I was checking out Nate's xanga and thought it was pretty cool so I thought I would give it a try. I haven't been very good in the past about journaling, but I always have wanted to do so.
God showed me many things this past week at Power Plant in Reno, First He showed me that there are still college students that love him and are committed to him and are willing to serve him. My (i'm claiming them) summer staff for the Reno Project consisted of Katie (Team Leader) Nate (worship leader), Bob-o (Audio/Visual) and Shannon (Office Manager). I feel that we instantly got along and made a great team. Each one of them encouraged me in different ways.
Katie - (she's really short by the way) she was also at NY last year, she did a great job as the Team Leader, she is a hard worker and she even called me Sir! (no that is something, does that mean i really am getting older?) Anyway I appreciated Katie because she got things done, even when she got tired she was always willing to work hard to get it done. She always had a good attitude and was a big encouragement to me
Nate - I really feel in love with this guy. He just wants God to use him, He was willing to do what ever i needed him to do, He was so easy to work with and when i threw something else into the mix he was very flexible (even asking him to lead in a song that he didn't totally know) He was such an encouragement when i saw him knock on all the guys doors and pray for the guys, that was really cool! Nate God has awesome plans for your life, stay true to him and he will use you in awesome ways
Bob-o - He did a great job on the videos, I need to learn how to do some of that stuff, He loves to talk, there are not too many times that Bob-o wasn't talking (haha) either to us or on his cell, He reminds me of my friend Micah (he loves to talk too).
Shannon - I didn't get to spend as much time with her, but she made me laugh and she reminded me alot about my wife and my short couple years of Alabama life, Alabama people are wierd beause they eat bannana sandwiches with mayo, gross (my wife does it too).
more to come later about the trip
